What brought you to Flirt Fitness Studio?
I was 20 years old and lost. I didn’t know who I was or who I wanted to be, all I did know was that I didn’t like myself. I had recently quit school and thought to myself, “Screw it, I’ll just become a stripper!” I came across an incredible YouTube video of Anastasia Sokolova on Ukraine’s Got Talent. Her performance was fierce, sexy, and confident. I couldn’t help but want to be like her. I Googled “pole dance classes near me” and Flirt Fitness Studio was the only thing that popped up. I signed up for an Intro Class immediately. I remember exactly what studio room I was in, exactly what pole I sat next to, exactly what we did in that class, and exactly how I felt. Half way through the class I knew that Flirt was my new home and that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life! I walked out of my Intro Class with immediate results, and no I’m not talking about weight loss or muscle gain, I’m talking about confidence I didn’t have before, more self-worth and self-love than I had 90 minutes prior, and a sense of community.

What do you love about Flirt Fitness Studio?
I love the community we create for the students. The world can be harsh and full of judgment sometimes and often women view each other as competition rather than as sisters. At Flirt Fitness Studio, we strip away the requirements society puts on women and the competition. We create a safe haven where the women inspire, support, and love each other; where everyone can be/find their truest self. The bonds within our studio walls is pure magic, I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life and to be honest, I’m not sure it exists anywhere else.

How long have you been at Flirt Fitness Studio?
4.5 magnificent years!

What do you consider your teaching style?
I often hear, “You’re so patient!” I’m naturally a compassionate person so I think being patient with my students is just second nature. I’m very hands on! I think of myself to be rather technical, too, I like to ensure my students really understand the physics of the move they are doing.  

What is your favorite playlist during class?
Anything that my students enjoy!

Favorite thing to do during summer?
Relax by the pool or on beach

Do you prefer to dance in pleasers, socks, or just barefoot?
It varies day to day. If I want to feel sexy, in control, and confident the 8” pleaser heels are totally going on. If I’m feel more liquid or poised socks are my go-to. If I’m feeling tricky and strong, barefoot it is!

Favorite article of clothing to dance in?
This also varies day to day. I love doing Liquid Motion in baggy sweat pants, an oversized hoodie, and socks on a cold day. There’s something so satisfying about finding yourself sexy in clothing that society doesn’t view as “sexy”. However, other days I crave my fishnets, booty shorts, and stilettoes!
